Purpose

The CDS–NRPPD Plantation Database is a comprehensive repository of official statistics on India's plantation sector. Developed under the National Research Programme for Plantation Development (NRPPD) at the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), the database consolidates information from multiple government agencies into a single platform. It is designed to support research, policy analysis, teaching, and evidence-based decision-making by providing reliable, consistent, and easily accessible plantation statistics.
