Welcome to the CDS NRPPD Plantation Database
The National Research Programme for Plantation Development (NRPPD), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has developed the CDS–NRPPD Plantation Database as a comprehensive repository of official statistics on India's plantation sector.
The database integrates data on Tea, Coffee, Rubber, and Spices, covering key agro-economic indicators such as area, production, and productivity. The information is compiled from authoritative sources, including the Tea Board, Coffee Board, Rubber Board, Spices Board, and other official government publications.
Designed as a reliable and user-friendly resource, the portal supports research, policy analysis, teaching, and informed decision-making by providing easy access to long-term plantation statistics for researchers, policymakers, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. The database is being developed in phases, and additional datasets, including prices, labour and employment, marketing, domestic consumption, exports, imports, and other sector-specific statistics will be incorporated in subsequent updates.
